A Beginning and an End

Well... The poll of which summer movie was best has finally ended. It was pretty much a blowout for Spider-Man 3. (Which was my personaly favorite). I'm working on a new poll now, check it out! (Answer honestly!)

Air Guitar

Anyone who knows me knows that I love to pull some sick moves on the air guitar. I'm not like an ordinary person though. I actually take time during the day and practice air guitar moves. I love to take some of my favorite songs and make up some amazing stuff. Well, a lot of you know that Whispers in the Dark is one of my favorite songs, but I've never really tried air guitaring it (Seriously) until yesterday when I watched the video on a taped episode of Rock Block (Gospel Music Television). It is a way way way way way way way way sweet song to crank up (My parents weren't home) and just bust out with the radical moves. Well, my lawn mower needed to cool off for awhile so I jumped up on my trampoline and guess what song I picked... yep... Whispers in the Dark. Let me say that that was one of the most wicked air guitaring experiences I've ever had in my entire 16 years! I could pull flips and things on the trampoline and some gnarly high jumps! It was mondo sweetishness! Just thought I'd inform y'all

A Concert

Today after church in the sanctuary I got to hold my second "Concert". It's where I get to go upstairs and play on the piano whatever I feel like and sing and have a good time. The echo of the sanctuary is way cool! I wish I could describe how cool it felt. I pretended there was an audience and I really got into the songs! It was a blast! The piano is one of the nicest that I have the opportunity to play. The only thing that would have made it better would have been an audience... lol... things come in time I guess.

Surf's Up

I just got back from the theater and I saw the movie Surf's Up. It was a pretty predictable movie, but hey... what kids movie isn't? On that note, I thought it was a great younger kids movie that teenagers would enjoy too! I thought it was pretty stinking funny! With Shia Lebouf (Louis Stevens on Even Stevens) as the main character and Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite on Napolean Dynamite) it made for a pretty funny movie! If I have to compare it to other movies, it's definately not as good as Spider-Man 3, but I thought it was quite a bit better than Nancy Drew. I suggest seeing it!

High of 75

Using the same concept, idea, and style, I just recorded a similar version of High of 75... I apologize for all mistakes, but I haven't played piano for a long long time and I thought this was as good as it's going to get for a while... Please leave a commet! (I apologize to those who hate my singing, for I do sing in this recording!) Check it out here!

My Interpretation of Hey There Delilah

Each time I was on an airplane on my trip to Hawaii, I heard the song called, "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White Tees. (The people who sing, "Hate") I soon fell in love with this song. It is way cool! I have even put it on my Facebook... anyways... I have made my own softer more delicate interpretation of the song, and have posted it on the Imagine Cup Winners website (I apologize for any background noise... it's kinda loud here... and then there's always Charles), but please check it out and leave some comments! Check it out here!

101st Post!!!!

Hooray I hit the big 101! I'm so happy for myself! Anyways...

A long time ago there was this sweet commercial for something having to do with coffee where this black guy sang a really really cool song that I used to go around and sing. Recently I found out that the black guy from the commercial was Wayne Brady from Whose Line Is It Anyway. I've wanted to find that commercial for a while, but haven't really got a chance until now! I'm so excited to have found it! Check it out!

Toy Story 3?

Hey y'all... I was just surfing some web and found rumors of a possible Toy Story 3 coming out in '09 or'10... That would be wicked sweet! Since I'm a huge huge fan of the first two, I would love a third one (Assuming they put good time into it and use the right voices for the characters)

A Sweet Video

My mom showed me this way sweet video that I had to share with y'all... Check it!

I'm Back

I got back from Hawaii this morning... Unfortunately I don't have any pics to post yet (I'll have to do that l8r), but I had a stinking good time with the Kersey's. One of the coolest parts of the trip was when we went to the Hard Rock Cafe: Hanolulu. We were sitting there and then this song comes on... I'm like... HEY THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS! It turns out, it was The Best Thing by Relient K. I resolved I had to put the video on my blog when I got back.

On another note, I have gotten a facebook! Hooray! Check it out!

I'm About to Head Off

I'm spending the night at the Kersey's tonight for the plane is leaving 5:30 A.M. tomorrow. This is probably the last blog post I will be able to post for a while. I fare all of my friends farewell... I shalt miss thee. Except for the Wilson's who I already miss so I shalt still miss thee. I promise I'll have a blast and tell you guys all about it, though I will be looking forward to seeing everybody again sometime. I shalt try and make phone calls where they are due when they can be made. Peace Out!

Note: Did you even have to ask about the postcard? Did you honestly think I wouldn't...?

Monk, Psyche, and What's Up Next Week

For those of you who don't know, I have three favorite TV shows. They are Even Stevens, Monk, and Psyche (Spelling?). (Actually I have tons more, but I limit it to those shows since they can still be viewed on TV). Last night was the beginning of the new season for Monk and Psyche! It was an amazing start off for both of them!
The Monk episode was where Monk has to work with his greatest fan (The woman is obsessed), and solve a murder commited supposedly by a dead dog. Weird eh? It was interesting, yet semi-predictable. Monks usually aren't very predictable, but this one kind of was, but it wasn't too bad. It was still very funny! The commercials for next weeks Monk look funny too! He meets up with Snoop Dog! LOL!
The Psyche episode took place on a show called "American Duos". You can guess what it was eluding too. Anyway, there was a snobby, rude judge that had many murder attempts on his life, and he hired Gus and Shaun to protect him. This show was STINKING FUNNY! They tried out for the show and the judge advanced him because he needed them to stay around (But they totally stunk). I don't want to give it all away, but at the end, they end up doing the Tears for Fears song, "Shout" (I think that's what it is called) with Gus dressed up as Michael Jackson and Shaun dressed up as the lead singer from Tears for Fears. They were dancing and singing... oh my word... you need to see it! It is way way way funny!

As for what's happening with me. I get to go to Hawaii! YAY! SWEET! I'm just a little excited... lol (Understatement of the year). I will be gone for I think 10 days. I doubt I'll be able to post anything on my blog while I'm down there (I'll be in Hawaii for the love of donuts), but I'll take a ton of pictures and post them on my blog when I get back. It's going to be amazing... I can feel it in my bones... (Lol)

We're Back!

Hooray being back! I'm sooo tired! My brother woke me up as we drove into our neighborhood. I was sleeping with my head on his lap... lol. The trip I must say, was amazing and I didn't want to leave, but I'm glad the driving is over... Can I get a witness? lol. Anyways... I thought I would post a bunch of pictures that I took while we were down there and explain them, so without any further adou and in no particular order:
This is me at the Great Salt Lake. I took a picture of myself... The sky looks kinda depressing eh? It was fitting... We were on our way home when this picture was taken.
This is my parents. Still at the Great Salt Lake. That lake really really stunk. I have no idea why the Mormans were traveling across the country and decided to settle right around that dead lake with that horrendous smell... I tasted the lake... It was salty. Duh...
I believe that this is a picture of one of the bits of mountain ranges in Utah (or Wyoming... I don't remember which), but the mountains were absolutely amazing!
This is Carmel by the Sea... It's the beach that we went to. I took more pictures, but people will just have to see them when they come over. I took a ton of pictures last week... It would take forever to post them all, however I might post more later.
This is Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and my parents at Carmel... There's not really a lot to say... That's my sister on the left...
This is one of the best pictures we got of the entire Wilson family together. From left to right (For those who don't know): Bethany, Amanda, Mrs. Wilson, Mr. Wilson, Blake, and John.
While we were at Carmel. The four older kids got to climb some rocks (I might have posted on this already... I can't remember... Anyway... here is a picture of the girls sitting on the rocks... (I took it)
A good picture of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson on the day that we left. Amanda took it when I asked her to take a couple more pictures of the family while I helped my dad load stuff in the van...
This is on the trip either to or from Carmel... I can't remember which... My memory always seems to be failing me... sigh... anyway. This is Bethany and my sister acting snobbish. My dad said it was Paris Hilton and her friend... lol
Though we didn't get a picture playing Skip-Bo, we did get a picture playing Slamwitch... For those who care, (I don't mean to brag), I won this game. Probably just because I had like... all the munchers though. We only played this game once and I won, however I lost at least 2 out of 3 in Skip-bo and I lost way way way way way way way way many times at Racko... sigh... I always loved that game before...
This was taken approximately 2:00 A.M. while watching the movie Napolean Dynamite. We were extremely tired and this was the day we left, but I say that the picture turned out pretty well anyways. Whew... I must be getting lazy from my Imagine Cup Days... I posted and commented on way more pictures then (and they were funny), but I am getting old... Maybe I need some cheese... (Inside joke), but these are some of the pictures from the trip. I hope to post more later.
Note: Amanda Wilson has created a blog of her own. I have added the link to it to my links section of the blog. Check it out and leave some comments!

We're Leaving the Hotel and Some Things to Think About and Some Trivia

We're all getting ready to leave the hotel now. As I said earlier, our destination today is Hastings, Nebraska. I get to look forward to a long day of driving today. We are planning to put on about 900 miles today. Yay... (l0l). We all got a good sleep though so hopefully no one will be grumpy. That's always good. I'll try to post something when I get to the hotel tonight.

Here's something to think about:
Are colors really the same to everyone? When everyone looks at a "blue" pillow, do they all see the same color? Or do they all see different colors, but over the years they have been taught that the specific color they are looking at is called "blue"? Post your thoughts. It is possible.

Another thought:
Are certain magic portals to other worlds specifically designed to send you to a certain place, or is it just random where you end up? In the Chronicles of Narnia, there are different portals that everyone goes through to get to Narnia and they all take them to different places different times. Was it just random where they ended up, or maybe Aslan made the portals bring them there. Post your thoughts.

A Trivia Question:
What is the title of the movie that Russel Crow is in, where he plays a preacher who refuses to fire a shot in a shootout that the city is having?

Another Trivia Question:
What is the 80's movie based in a computer type world where the villians main henchman (might be called commander) is named Sark?

Coming Back

We left this morning around 9:30 California time. It was a very sad moment for everyone, but it seems that it's not too too sad. The Wilson girls get to come out to Nebraska the end of August! Hooray! Anyway... it still was a sad departure and people were crying and the like. The car ride back is not as enjoyable as the one up. I'm writing this from a hotel in Wendover, Utah. We leave for Hastings, Nebraska tomorrow morning bright and early.
I have a TON of pictures to post, but I'll have to do that tomorrow or when I get home because the connection here mixed with the laptop I am using makes for it being too slow for me to post the pictures now.
To the Wilsons: We miss you guys!

Family Force Five

Last night on Front Row Live on the Gospel Music Channel, the band of the night was Family Force Five. It was way cool and way funny! First of all... they have the funniest and weirdest songs, but also, they have the sweetest/funniest dances! They sang almost all songs that I knew and I was dancing and singing along, but then I figured I was scaring my veiwer mates... It was stinking funny! Those guys are crazy!

Rubix Cube

There was a homeschool meeting for the Wilson's homeschool group here today and there was this 12 year old boy with a Rubix cube. I watched him from across the backyard solve the thing in about 30 seconds. This kid was amazing! I've heard about and seen people on tv that are beasts at those things, but I've never seen someone that good in real life! It was way tight! He said his fastest time was 25 seconds. The coolest thing was that he said he just started within 12 months! He said he practiced a lot (Obviously). I've never solved one of those in my life, but now I might pull mine back out and try again. He said there are websites that teach you formulas for how to do them... I'll have to look those up...

The Last Day

This is our last day here at the Wilson's house. It has been a great week and I'm really going to miss everyone here. I totally wish we could stay longer! We're going to try and have as much fun today as legally possible. (lol) We don't really have anything planned, but that is when people have the most fun! I'm going to try and get a ton more pictures today to bring home. Boo Goodbyes!

That Thing You Do

What could this be? ANOTHER MOVIE REVIEW! Hooray!
This wasn't anything super amazing or anything, but it was an okay movie. It was about the begginning of this little band's career that started with the name the "Oneders" (They eventually changed their name to the Wonders because people kept pronouncing it the "Oh-needers"). The story is the bands rise to fame, but mostly it is about the drummer, who replaces another guy at the beginning of the movie because he broke his arm. It is kinda strange, but it is a cool concept and makes for an okay movie.

Carmel

Today we went to the beach called Carmel for the day. It was way fun! The place was beautiful! It is the first time I have been to a beach since I have lived in Okinawa! Oh man... It was sooo incredible. Unfortunately, it was way cold and the water was below freezing, so we didn't really get to swim, but I took pictures (I'm going to post a ton when I get home) and I had a blast with my friend here! Lol... just like old times... me hanging out with Amanda and Bethany with Maddie... just having a good time... I'm so glad I was able to come on this trip! I thank God for all good things come from him. A lot of cool and different things are happening this week that I didn't expect, but it's way cool! I'm going to hate leaving this place!

The Prestiege

"There are three parts to a magic trick..." was how the movie started out. It was a movie about two magicians and their lives. I know I said this about clue, but this is now the strangest movies I have ever seen! However, this is probably one of the coolest and deepest movies I have ever seen as well! It was so way amazing! You may think you have it figured out, or you may just have no idea what's going on, but at the end, no matter how much you know, you will be shocked and everything will come together. It was very cool! The hardest part to understand is that the movie takes place in three time zones: Present time, one guy reading another guys journal, and the guy in the guys journal (It's his journal that's being read) is reading the first guy's (The one who's reading the journal) journal. Needless to say, it maybe a little confusing at first, but at the end of the movie you will be shocked!
Amazingly there wasn't a lot of language. There were some words, but the movie wasn't rated for language, and there wasn't that many foul words. I was impressed! (Though none would have been way better)
You guys need to see this movie. It is one of the coolest I have ever seen!

Pictures from Mexico

The Oremundo pictures are up from the missions trip I got to go on to Mexico. You can check them out here.

Props to My Man Kersey for Entering the 20th Century

The inevidable has finally happened. My bro Kersey has finally begun sending emails just for fun! He has recently begun emailing various friends of his for no particular reason at all! I recieved one today and was shocked yet excited! My friend has finally taken my advice and is taking hold of technology! Propers to him!

Note: Thank you to all my other friends that started using email way back when it started and have been able to communicate much more often with me because of it!

Energy Drink

I was going to post this the other day, but I never got a chance, but here it is now:

If you're feeling tired, weak, and/or lazy and you need something to wake you up, try energy drink. To some people it may taste bad, but it is definately one of man's best inventions! Some people like Mountain Dew or Coffee in the morning to keep them awake or give them a boost, but why would you try weak doses of caffine when you can drink an entire months worth in one can! It's like a concentrated, instant kick in the pants! It's so amazing!

Warning: Do not give to children... Since children are already hyper, giving them this much energy could send them into extreme fits of wall bounce offage, and the caffine drop afterword ends up putting the child in a comatose like state afterword. The reason teenagers aren't effected by this is because they are already almost comatose before you give it to them and the boost allows them to function properly. The drop merely returns them to their previous state with no harm done.

The Church Service

I can honestly start with saying that this is the largest church I have ever been too! It wasn't a megachurch or something, but going to Heatland Baptist (An amazing and great church), this place was ginourmous! It was much different than what I'm used to. The music was more contemporary (Though we did sing some hymns), but thankfully the part that really mattered, the preaching, was also great! It's always good to go to a church where they don't water down the Word! It was a great experience to share with other believers! For the evening service, we got to hear the youth choir. It was way cool! They sang a lot of songs that I knew (Various Chris Tomlin songs that you hear on the radio all the time). It was really cool too!

Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure

Once again, I am writing a little mini movie review. This time, the movie is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
The movie was made in the 80's, and it has a lot of 80's influence... The main theme of the music... 80's metal. LOL! It was hilarious! This is definately one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen... I know I said that about Nacho Lebre, but this one was incredibly stupid as well. It is about these two loser friends in high school who need to pass a history exam. They end up getting a time machine and getting to meet many famous people from history... It is all a very strange concept that is incredibly stupid, yet hilariously funny! Definately a good movie to watch when you are tired!
With the language, there were two words that tv guardian could get rid of, then there was a spot where a guy says a bad word in french over and over and over and the movie shows it in subtitles... There's no real way to get over that, except you could fast foward that part. I was very surprised that the movie was PG in the 80's with so little language though...
This movie was stinking funny! Check it out!

Nacho Lebre

Okay... I must say that this movie could possibly be one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen in my entire life! That said, it was pretty funny! I won't really ruin anything, but it is about a monk who ends up being a wrestler... It is very strange... One of the coolest parts about the movie is that it has NO FOUL LANGUAGE! That was way cool! It was a very odd movie... It was written by the same person who made Napolean Dynamite so it is kinda that same feel... Really stupid, really slow, pretty stinking funny. It's best to watch with a group of stupid people who are all tired... you will get more out of it that way.

Diz II

Diz II has posted more of Sevyon's tale. He apologizes for any mistakes that might have shown up. He was writing the story while being chased by some very put out men...

Nancy Drew

Okay... We just got back a little bit ago from the movie theater where we watched the new movie, Nancy Drew...
First of all... it was a chick flick, and I knew it was going into it, but I thought, "what the cheese? I'll go see it." It wasn't a horrible movie, but it wasn't incredibly amazing either... I don't regret seeing it, but it was nothing amazing... and I'm not just saying that because it was a chick flick... there have been some chick flicks I have liked... this was just not one of them... It did have a lot of cool actors in it though! There was Pim and Debbie (Both from Phil of the Future... only in this movie they were best friends LOL) and there was the boy from the Pacifier, and then Bruce Willis made a little appearance in the middle of the movie... That was pretty funny!
Kersey... I know I promised to see this movie with you, but hey... this was a unique situation... (I should remember this movie a little better... lol). But I guess it all works out because you went and saw Transformers without me...

The Sideburns are Coming Back

I had to shave and cut my hair for Mexico (I still need to put a HUGE post about that... I wish there was more time in the day), but now that it is over, my hair is growing back out, and my sideburns are making a comback! I'm so happy... *sniff* I don't have to look like a twelve year old anymore! Booo baby face! Hooray Sideburns!

Clue

I just finished watching the strangest movie I have ever seen. It was called Clue. It was a movie made in 1985 and kinda sorta had something to do with the board game. It had all six characters from the game and they were the main characters in the story... It was extremely strange. At the end, it says something like, "This is how it could have happened." and it gives one ending. Then it gives another ending and says, "Or it could have happened like this." There is a final third ending how the movie really ends and it is very very strange... I would recommend seeing it sometime just to see it... It is a very unique experience... The only suggestion would be having a tv guardian, as they do say the Lord's name in vain a lot...

More

Okay... I have a little bit more time to write. We got in around 7 (California time) and we just kinda hung out for a little bit, but then we got to go swimming in the Wilson's inground pool. (It is way nice.) The little kids had to go to bed earlyish so the older kids got to swim for a small amount of time without interuption. When we got all dried off and changed, the four older kids played some board games! It was fun and once again, just like old times. We played Apples to Apples and some Skip-Bo (lol). We eventually grew tired and decided to watch a movie. We chose Peter Pan (After I had a midnight snack... A hamburger) and I fell alseep mid-movie on a small chair. When the girls decided to go to bed, they somehow coaxed me in my sleep to take a pillow and lay down on the couch. I don't recall any of that, but they said I did respond to them vocally... I woke up on the couch and I was like... "How the heck did I get here?" I had no remembrance of waking up so either I knew I went over there in my sleep or they had carried me to the couch (Which was physically impossible). They said that it took 15 minutes for me to get over there... lol.
This morning I was awaken by my mother sitting on me on the couch... How unpleasant. We kinda just sat around and talked for a while... I drove Amanda, Bethany, and my sister up to Starbucks this morning and we all got ourselves some coffee (Hooray Beverage!). We have pretty much just hung out since then... It is way fun... It's time to eat now though, so I have to go...

The Trip So Far

I don't have much time (I'm about to drive the girls over to Starbucks), but we've only been here a little bit and it is way SWEET! (For those of you who don't know, I'm in Fresno, California right now at the Wilson's house). Things are just like old times! It totally rocks... I've been so tired though... Anyway... Gotta jet, write more later!

Hello

Kersey and I just recorded our own version of the Hawk Nelson song, "Hello" as a celebratory song for me getting ready to leave for California! You can check it out on the Imagine Cup Winners website! Leave some comments!
