In Response to My Last Post

The reason I have decided to stop recording is pretty simple. How long can people listen to an unexperienced teenager play cheap covers poorly before his welcome is worn out? There are already millions of people who can do that all over the world, and people can only take so much before they turn. While accepted at first, cover artists can quickly become old news and unwelcome. In short, I have retired for both mine and my listeners sake. For my listeners ears, and my dignity, I lay down my microphone.
In response to Hannah, no. It's not anything about my audience. (Of around 4 people... lol). Releasing a cd was last in my thoughts. I decided to quit before people became tired of hearing me. Save some time before I truly become a burnout. How many times can you listen to my covers before they just get old. Not even worth putting on a cd
In response to Colin... Lol. A good old quote from It's A Wonderful Life puts a smile on my face, though touched is not quite the word I think about when I think of what people get when they listen to my recordings. On the other hand, of course we can still jam! I do not want to put my guitar down for good. I just don't want to make other people feel like they have to listen to it. lol
In response to your sympathy, thank you, but it is unneeded. I'm doing you guys a favor in the long run!
I must say though. It was nice to have my entire dedicated audience comment on my farewell post. Thanks guys!
Once again, Merry Christmas!

A Retirement

I have been thinking about it for awhile, and have made a decision. I have decided to retire from the recording scene. I am posting this video as my last recorded song.

With some soul, I wish everyone a merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Shopping!

My favorite version of this song, to be listened to while reading the post (Though it has nothing to do with the post itself:

Okay... I'm finally almost done Christmas shopping... I started late, but I caught myself up. All I need to buy is something for my dad (I still have no idea what I'm getting him). I am just one of those people that waits until a couple weeks before Christmas to start shopping... I guess I really am a procrastinator at heart.

How do you guys Christmas shop? Early or late? I want to see what the majority of my friends would say.

Some Music I Grew Up On

I know this has nothing to do w/ Christmas, but I feel like I need to say it anyway.
Alright... I have something to say... I've heard tons of people make fun of him and slam him, but I am totally down with this guy. It is hard for me to explain how amazing I think this guys voice and music are... I remember when I was just a little tyke in Okinawa I would take my little sing along tape player and take my mom's tapes of this guy and totally sing my heart out. Listening to Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Amy Grant, Cindy Morgan, and this guy are how I taught myself how to sing. (Though I had some great influences, I didn't turn out so well...) I have recently started listening to some of this guy's stuff again and now am falling in love all over again... In my opinion, this guy quite possibly has some of the best love songs (Including lyrics) of all time... And I don't say that lightly.
Here is one of my favorite songs of all time... Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Bolton:

Christmas is Coming!!!

Yay for Christmas! It is coming up and I am now in the Christmas spirit (It takes me longer every year... I must be getting old...)! Stores are getting crowded, Santa's are ringing bells, carols are on the radio, and Rudolf is a star on TV again!

Let us not forget what Christmas is all about however. Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savoior Jesus Christ. W/out His birth on earth, we would be condemned eternally to Hell... Jesus came to earth to be killed by His own creation... Talk about humble. Still, many people try and hide the true meaning of this holiday. Here is a great song my grandma sent me!

Merry Christmas Y'all!

To Whom It May Concern

Some of you may have heard my previous recording of the song "You Give Love a Bad Name". I used entirely piano to record it and called it my "most honest recording". Well, I recently rerecorded it using my acoustic guitar and I personally think I added some nice touches (It will be a surprise to those who hear it). However, I will not be posting the song again on the Imagine Cup Winners page like I normally do. I will put it on my Facebook files application and will also email it anyone that requests it though. Peace out!
